This is our primary winter season street hockey program. We offer three separate age divisions for ages 7 through 15 years old:
Penguins = 7-9 years old - play on Wednesdays & Saturdays
Beavers = 10-12 years old - play on Wednesdays & Saturdays
Cadets = 13-15 years old - play on Tuesdays & Thursdays
Player Evaluations will be held on 11/12 & 11/13--every registered player MUST attend this year on the night of your choice--either Wednesday 11/12 OR Thursday 11/13. Penguins: 6pm, Beavers: 7pm, Cadets: 8pm.
The winter street hockey program will run from November 25th through February 1. During the holiday weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's, each division will play one game: Cadets on the Tuesday of each week (11/25, 12/23, 12/30) Penguins & Beavers on the Saturday of each week (11/29, 12/27, 1/3).
Makeup games will be held for any games cancelled due to inclement weather on a to-be-determined basis, (typically Friday nights) but any/all makeup games must be made up prior to Championship Weekend. Championship Weekend will be held January 30-February 1 and will consist of a double-elimination playoff tournament weekend with Championship games held on Sunday, February 1. Please add these dates to your calendars now so that all players can be present for this very important weekend.
Travel all star program begins thereafter for another 4-6 weeks.
Players names on jerseys will be spelled as entered on this registration form.

Helmet with full cage or shield, Stick, Gloves, Elbow Pads, Leg Pads

This program is only possible through voluntary efforts of concerned parents. Please check one of the areas below where you might be able to contribute. We are only asking for a few hours per family for the entire season! If all give a little, the season will be a bigger success - for our kids. Please note that the snack stand is only open during the winter street hockey season (Mid Nov. thru February) and needs lots of help/people to staff it.

I, the parent or authorized guardian, of the above named player hereby give my approval for the participation in the Somers Point Hockey Association. I assume all risks and hazards that are incidental to such participation. This includes but is not limited to transportation to the activity, all activities associated with practices, games and activities in and around the Bud Kern Memorial Field recreational area. I do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the City of Somers Point, the Somers Point Recreation Commission, the Somers Point Recreation Department, the Somers Point Hockey Association and any other recognized groups; it's organizers, sponsors, supervisors, the participants transporting my child to and from activities, for any claims arising from any injury to my child.
It is further understood that my signing (electronic acknowledgement) of this registration form indicates that I have read this registration form and understand and fully agree with the statements made on the form.
